After a wonderful summer of reading and gardening, I really haven't knit that much. I worked a little on the socks that I started before vacation, but I didn't really get much done. Yesterday I thought I should try something new (not that I don't have about 5 projects started and waiting for me to finish them...). I started my first sweater yesterday. It's a short cardigan and it's with really chunky yarn. The needles are large so it's knitting up really fast! Here's how it looked when I stopped last night to go to sleep.
I have to finish the red bottom border, and then there are the sleeves to do yet. The final step will be a red border around the front and neckline with three big button holes. Of course, I forgot to buy buttons yesterday when I got the yarn... oops!
I like how it looks so far and I can't wait to finish it and the weather to cool off a bit so I can wear it! ^_^
